Alard was initially established to exclusively provide oil and gas services in the upstream sector. However, as Libya faced electricity shortages and the global renewable energy market evolved, Alard transitioned into a comprehensive energy services provider, addressing a wider spectrum of needs. This includes both conventional power generation, primarily through gasoline, diesel, and gas sources, as well as renewable solar energy generation.
Alard Power Generation unit origins date back to 2012. This unit was established through the merger and acquisition of two former sister companies, Tabket L.L.C and New Energy L.L.C. Tabket L.L.C, founded in 2012, specialized in trading heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Recognizing Libya's frequent power outages, Tabket shifted its focus to power generators and obtained exclusive agencies from renowned manufacturers, offering diesel and gasoline generators ranging from 3Kva to 2000 Kva. In 2018, the power generation units merged with New Energy L.L.C, a company specializing in energy solutions and electrical contracting services. Driven by the volatile gasoline and diesel prices, along with environmental concerns, customers sought alternative solutions.
Embracing Libya's ample sunshine and consistent solar radiation, the adoption of PV solar power solutions became a natural progression within the market. New Energy Company emerged as a leader in providing and installing diesel and gasoline generators, PV solar power solutions, energy storage systems, and UPSs. In 2023, Alard's acquisition of New Energy further solidified our industry presence.
